We all know by now that the Rams and Chiefs suck and that the Mizzou Tigers are the only competitive football team in the state, but just how big is the gap? It's silly to say that any college team could beat an NFL team - even one as bad as the Rams - and the Rams haven't had the luxury of playing SEMO in any of their three losses this year, so no comparison will be truly reasonable. Doesn't mean they can't be fun though.
Obviously the Rams alone aren't anywhere near the neighborhood of Mizzou production-wise, but what about the Rams and the Chiefs combined? The STKC Chams if you will. The Chams have had the luxury of playing two more games than Missouri, so things might be closer than you think. Here's how the numbers shake out...
So much for it being closer than we think, that was about as ugly as we imagined. The conclusion - on any given week you're going to see significantly more offense from the home team in two halves of Mizzou football than you probably are in eight quarters of Rams/Chiefs football. And Sundays used to be so fun too.
Erik Johnson done for the year. That will teach you to surf on top of a moving golf cart, young man (for the record we just made that up, we have no idea if he was surfing a golf cart, but it seems like an easy way to shred ones knee, no?) [STL Today]
As we're sure you've heard by now, Trent Green will be taking the ball from Marc Bulger for the Rams on Sunday. Based on Bernie Miklasz's research, he won't last long behind this offensive line. [Bernie's Extra Points]
Interpret the Bulger move how you want, but the fact that Scott Linehan resides at the top of this - and all - lists of coaches who are soon to be unemployed may give you some insight into why it was made [Fox Sports]
