The Skinny: Toronto jumped on top with a 3-0 lead after the first 20 minutes of play. The Blues stormed back in the 2nd with three goals before the clock hit the 14:00 mark. The Leafs went ahead by a goal nearly 10 minutes later, but Paul Kariya tied it a little over four minutes into the 3rd period.
Blues Goals: Brad Boyes (3), Patrik Berglund (1) and Keith Tkachuk (4) scored in the 2nd before Kariya knotted things up in the 3rd with his first of the season.
Shootout: Andy McDonald and Brad Boyes scored in the deciding frame while Toronto managed just one goal in three attempts. Manny Legace stopped Pavel Kubina and Nik Antropov stopped himself by flat out missing the net. Hey, that sounds like the Blues last year.
Deuces Wild: Andy McDonald, Patrik Bergland and Paul Kariya each contributed two points. For McDonald, he's tallied 6 points in three games.
Standings: First place in the Central with four points. Yippee! Tied with Vancouver for second in the conference, behind San Jose and their six points.
Games Remaining: 79
Up Next: the Dallas Stars visit Scottrade for a 7:30 contest Thursday night. Game will be televised on FSN Midwest. Two nights later, the Blackhawks come to town.
Kenny Sayeth: Even though it's super early, Ken Wilson is quite pleased with the offensive efforts of the Blues thus far. Twelve goals in three games is a step in the right direction for the young kiddies and wiley veterans -- and a come from behind victory on the road is even better. He'll forgive some shoddy defense in favor a full Oh Baby.
