It's a big weekend for quarterbacks around these parts.  Mizzou fans are anxious to see if Chase Daniel can bounce back from his worst performance in the last two years and knock off fellow quarterback and Heisman Trophy-contender Colt McCoy in prime time on Saturday.  Earlier in the day, Kansas and Todd Reesing will be traveling to Norman, OK to take on Sam Bradford and his Sooners in a battle of two premier QB's in the Big 12.

In the pro ranks, the Rams are still waiting to see if they will face off with Brad Johnson and his freakishly long neck or if Tony Romo is going to throw caution to the wind and play even with a damaged pinky when the Cowboys come to town on Sunday.

All the while, Marc Bulger will be kicking back and living the high life now that Mr. Linehan is gone.

Speaking of the high life, in case you didn't realize, it's Friday afternoon.  That means it's Hangover time, people.  Here is the week that was at the Tailgate...

The Unofficial Official Rams Recap for Week 6

Even after an inspiring first win of the year for the Rammies, there are still burning questions to be answered...

Tough question: if you want to buy a Rams jersey, and secure your purchase by getting a player that will be a legitimate star in this franchise for years to come...what jersey do you purchase?  It's definitely sad that the first name that comes to mind is Chris Long - a rookie defensive lineman.

Inside the Mind of Richie Incognito

Sometimes this job isn't all that pretty, especially when you have to take business trips inside the mind of a meatheaded offensive lineman.  That's why we get paid the big dough, people.

Dude loves winning no matter what the sport.  One thing he's not winning?  The contest amongst offensive linemen for most penalties.  It just eats him up that Alex Barron has been one of the most penalized lineman in the NFL since he entered the league in 2005.  His goal this season was to make the committment to catching Barron and doing it his way.  Barron like false starts, Incognito likes unsportsmanlike conducts - more bang for his buck.

Remembering the Incredible Hull

One fun thing about the Sports Illustrated online "vault"?  Tracking down old articles from when Brett Hull and his golden mullet ruled the city.

Thanks to the SI Vault, we can relive the times of Brett Hull's ascension into superstardom. It's the above issue of SI that "officially" canonizes Hull as the peer of Gretzky and Lemieux.  It came at a perfect time for the Blues, too.

Thursday
Time to Start Renovating the Jones Dome

It really hits home that the Edward Jones Dome sucks when a national magazine ranks it dead last amongst NFL stadiums...

You know that clause in the Rams lease that we hear so much about?  The one that says that if by 2015, the Edward Jones Dome isn't amongst the top 25% of all stadiums in the NFL that they can void their contract? Well, if Sports Illustrated's opinion means anything, the people who run the CVC might want to head up to Home Depot and start renovating asap.

Bonus Weekend Over/Under

Number of times we hear the story about Chase Daniel being spurned by Texas and then turning them down after he committed to Mizzou: 397

We're taking the over.
